First Generation Programming Services

Welcome back, First Gens! Can you believe it’s already the last week of March? As we continue to fly through the year, we’re back this week with our theme of Celebrating Women’s History Month! Today, we welcome another inspiring and empowering woman, Arianna Dela Rosa!

Arianna Dela Rosa

The First Gen Madrina Empower First
Arianna is a holistic career and empowerment coach dedicated to supporting first gen and BIPOC communities in navigating their careers and lives through inner work, healing and advocacy. Arianna’s journey is shaped by her experiences growing up as the daughter of immigrants in Historic Filipino Town in Los Angeles. Growing up, community was a big part of Arianna’s life. As she ventured into higher education and the corporate world, she encountered challenges unique to first-gen individuals. Despite facing many obstacles, Arianna remained determined to carve out her path and make a difference within her community.
Arianna’s professional journey began in HR recruiting, where she witnessed firsthand the lack of representation and opportunities for marginalized communities. This caused a shift in her mind and prompted her to work to create change. She began the transition into coaching, focusing on empowering individuals to overcome self-limiting beliefs and imposter syndrome as well as showing first gens like herself that anything is possible.

Empower First

Arianna’s work focuses heavily on advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She finds it important to recognize privilege and address the intersectionality of challenges faced by women of color. Through her business, Arianna is committed to providing opportunities for women of color and challenging systemic barriers. Arianna also places a strong emphasis on emotional wellness, incorporating somatic healing techniques into her coaching practice. Of course, we asked Arianna what advice she has for her fellow first gens. She stresses how important it is to know and feel your power, to recognize your strengths, and to believe in yourself unapologetically.
Arianna’s story is yet another example of a badass first gen working towards making a better life not just for herself but for those around her. She continues to empower others to embrace their identities, challenge systemic barriers, and pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.
