First Generation Programming Services

Dear First Gens,

As we close out 2025, I’m grateful to end the year with you on this final episode of The First Gen Madrina Podcast before our break. This year has been full of unexpected turns, moments of self-doubt, and powerful pivots that reshaped my path and maybe yours too. Let’s get into it!

First Gen Reflections & Updates

I walked into this year thinking I knew exactly where I was headed, but life had different plans. I questioned my career, my impact, and my next steps, but I also realized that pivots aren’t setbacks. They’re actually invitations. They ask us to trust the process, release what no longer aligns, and make space for something new.

One of my biggest pivots was expanding into financial wellness coaching, blending mental health with money. At first it felt scary, but the more I leaned in, the clearer it became. Helping first gen professionals heal their relationship with money is part of my purpose.

I also invested deeply in Madrina Network, our community for social workers. This reminded me that community is essential, and we’re not meant to build our visions alone.

This year also pushed me back into therapy, where I was diagnosed with ADHD and began a deeper journey of healing and self-understanding. It reminded me that rest and realignment are just as important as ambition. If you’ve felt overwhelmed this year, I hope you know this: You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to heal. You’re allowed to move at your own pace.

The First Gen Madrina First Gen Reflections

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year, The First Gen Madrina is stepping into a new season focused on wellbeing, wealth, and community, built through three branches:

1️⃣ Madrina Money

A space for trauma-informed financial wellness coaching, helping you build healthier money habits and rewrite your money story.

2️⃣ Madrina Network

Our expanding professional network for social workers, which means more workshops, resources and community.

3️⃣ Madrina Speaks

Transformative workshops, keynotes, and fireside chats on topics like breaking cycles, imposter syndrome, burnout prevention, money, and healing.

And of course, the podcast will continue to hold the real, honest conversations our community needs!

As you wrap up the year, I invite you to sit with these questions:

  1. What is one lesson this year taught me about myself?

  2. Where am I being invited to pivot, and how can I trust that process?

  3. What am I ready to release before entering the new year?
